GB1DSG Dorridge Scout Group Family Camp

GB1DSGI spent 13th and 14th July in a wet field with the Dorridge Scout Group family camp. At least Saturday was pleasant.

I inducted 102 Boys, Girls and Mums and Dads - and all of them passed a simple greetings message on to another radio amateur. We had such a laugh. Thank you everyone who joined in.

The GB1DSG picture gallery of the event is at: GB1DSG Picture Gallery. Spot the 12 meter fibreglass mast with the 80m doublet on top fed with ladder line via an SG230 ATU. Rig was a TS2000, all powered by 12V batteries (donated by Barry, M0DGQ).

40m Quarterwave Vertical Antenna

Jolly RogerTim (M3SDE) and I had a fabulous time this weekend running QRO with a pair of Verticals on 40m at the Scout Hut; 265 contacts across all continents and nearly 50 DXCC entities.

Don’t take my word for it, here’s the report.
